Overview the New features of Adobe Illustrator CS6

Adobe considers Illustrator CS6 as a major release with the introduction of the Mercury Performance system that delivers native 64-bit support for both Macintosh and Windows. The tasks performed by the refined interface are made simple. Panel enhancements include expandable color-sampling areas an hex-value editing in the Color panel. There are several other new features introduced in Illustrator CS6 , Such as pattern creation tools, Image Trace, gradients on strokes, Gaussian Blur enhancement, Dock-able hidden tools, and true white canvas color.

Let's discuss these features as follows:

==> Mercury Performance system :-  Provide native 64-bit support allowing RAM usage beyond 3-GB, which improves the overall performance considerably. It is a combination of solutions that makes Illustrator faster, more responsive, and able to handle large and complex files. It also reduces the Out-of-memory errors or the inability to save a document, considerably.

==> Refined Interface :- The refined illustrator CS6 interface has adopted a low-contrast and dark gray color theme. The interface brightness can be adjusted from light to dark and the canvas color to match the brightness of the interface. In addition, there are redrawn icons, reworked tool bars and tidied panels.

==> Pattern Creation :- This is enhanced with simple and quick workflow to save time. You can create or edit a pattern in the pattern editing mode, similar to the symbol editing mode. You can use the Pattern Options panel to modify the settings of the pattern, and preview the changes in real-time. You can select a Tile Type option for pattern layout, such as Grid, Brick, and Hex in the Pattern Options panel. The pattern is automatically saved into the Swatches panel and can be applied to any object as a fill.
To further edit the pattern, double-click the pattern in the Swatches panel or select the object containing the pattern, and then choose Object->Pattern->Edit Pattern from the Menu bar.
